Default map program

How to select a default map program such as Apple instead of Google which is not working properly.

Apple Maps ... Help? I will start with what I am using Macbook Air 13 running Big Sur iPhone 11 running iOS 16 iPad Mini 2 running iOS 12.5.5 Lets not get into how old they are. The issue is across the board. I use Google as my search engine, when I put into Safari Google wants to you Google Maps. I want to use (or at least try it out) Apple Maps the updates to look good. I have searched and tried every option I could find. The set to default in settings on all 3 I have removed the Google Maps app on each device. All I get there is it opens in Safari as the web version of Google Maps. Tried other search engines and still no luck. Do I need to reset my phone and pad?

Unsupported Link on Google Maps I can’t use Google Maps on my I13, it keeps saying Unsupported Link. I have removed the App & reinstalled but still no luck. Can anyone help please?

HOW DO I GET APPLE MAPS ON MY WINDOWS PC Somehow, when I enter an address to search for using a Firefox browser I get an apple map of the location. It doesn't happen all the time. How can I make it my default so I get the same result as iOS or iPad?

There is no clear single setting that would universally set Maps as the default app. What there is, is an individual setting in various apps to select a default app or directions etc.
