Hi, does anyone know if a thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adaptor will work to connect my early 2015 MacBook Pro to an ASUS ZenScreen MB16ACE? Laptop only has thunderbolt 2 ports and ZenScreen cable is USB-C both ends.

I already wrote the question but now it shows in the subject line....

that ThunderBolt-3 <--> Thunderbolt-2 adapter supports ONLY genuine ThunderBolt displays, not USB-C display, not [full size] DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort.

That display appears to be a USB-C display, NOT supported by that adapter.

I think you are right. Thanks for answering. My MacBook screen is broken so I still have to figure something out, do you know of a workaround? I have been told by product support that the Display Port capacity is in the cable (not in my MacBook ie) so I feel like it should be solvable, just can’t seem to figure it out. The ZenScreen comes with a USB-C to USB-A adaptor, which seems to me to imply that it could work on my MacBook, but I get the error message that my device does not support DP alt mode and to download the latest driver. Which I have done countless times at this point. The MacBook seems to block this driver as it won’t request access in either Accessibility or Screenrecording for me to then be able to say yes....
