Thanks for your post to Apple Support Communities. We understand you'd like to connect your MacBook Air with a Thunderbolt 2 port to a docking station with Thunderbolt 3. The short answer is: possibly.
First, we'd only recommend using an Apple-branded adapter. The one we will link below is bidirectional, which will work going from Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3. But the Mac must be using macOS Sierra or later and the docking station you mentioned must provide its own power.
Also keep in mind that data speeds may be impacted going from Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3. Read more here:
