What do you do to make your iPad Pro recognise its smart keyboard? It always used to. I have tried the restart.

Are you using an Apple Smart (folio) keyboard - that has been in regular use over a period of a year or more? Have you seen any warnings/notifications that an accessory is not supported by your iPad? If so, this alert is typically characteristic of a faulty folio keyboard.

The electrical connections that pass though the flexible fabric hinges typically fracture - this usually resulting in errors, on-screen notifications, or failure to work at all.

The Smart folio keyboard is not repairable. The only remedy is replacement of the keyboard.
