Acer K272HUL 2560 x 1440 Monitor Picture Quality

The resolution while connected to a Mac mini looks like 1080 and not 1440. When connecting a Windows PC however the quality jumps up. Setting on Mac are indeed set to 2560 x 1440 but not being displayed on monitor unfortunately. Have tried multiple HDMI cables all with same poor results.

FWIW, on my M1 MacBook Air which only has TB4/USB4 ports,

I have a 27 " Apple Thunderbolt Display with 2560x1440 resolution.

When I set the displays to mirror, What is displayed on my TB Display

is exactly what it would look like if I was looking at the desktop on

my late 2013 27" iMac which is also 2560x1440. Everything is crisp

and clear.

Also, instead of HDMI have yo tried using USB-C to DisplayPort cable?

I ask because over the years I have seen people who have issues with

HDMI go away when connected via the Thunderbolt Port with an

appropriate adapter. I have also seen the reverse as being true as well.

Also, have you tried making any changes to the settings in the monitor

itself?

I did just try a USBC Thunderbolt 3 to Display Port cable with the same results. The more I study the matter the more it looks like a PPI issue but it would not explain why when connected to a Windows PC it looks super sharp. At issue is not so much pictures but programs that use Text such as Pages and Word. The letters are very blurry. Not sure where to go from here. Have tried SwitchResX but Mac is already showing the proper 2560 x 1440 resolution in the Settings.
