Mail Flags: Change colors and get rid of Flagged folder

Where do you change the colors of the flags?? Or just re-order them?? They are in a totally nonsensical order. How is this not an option?

Also, I do not use the "flagged" folder in the sidebar. Shouldn't it just be a click to have it not show??

It's just one WTF after another when upgrading.

I don't want to change the name of the flag, just the colors, as I said.

The colors are tied to the byte code. Those are the only colors you can use.

It IS nonsensical to have colors in random order.

It's not random. It's just random to you.

ctrl-click does not provide any help for that folder, or is there something useful there that I'm missing?

The Delete Mailbox… item should be useful to remove the item.

If you are not talking about a Smart Mailbox, I don't know why you see the Flagged Mailbox since you don't use Flags.

That Mailbox only shows up if you flag an email. To make it go away, unflag all of your emails.

Where do you change the colors of the flags??

Once you flag some messages, the name of the flag can be changed in the submenu of the Flagged Smart Mailbox.

Or just re-order them?? They are in a totally nonsensical order.

It's not nonsensical, but it isn't based on anything you can see. Those colors are tied to a single byte code, numbered 0 through 7. They are ordered by that.

lso, I do not use the "flagged" folder in the sidebar. Shouldn't it just be a click to have it not show??

Well, a ctrl-click and pick an item from the contextual menu.

It IS nonsensical to have colors in random order. bytes?? It should be something that humans use... like rainbow or even just standard "red means hot" or even just what it has been in every OS for DECADES.

I just moved to Catalina. Almost all my emails are flagged, that's one way I organize things. But I don't use the "flagged" smart mailbox for anything, it seems useless to me, it's absurd that there is no option to remove it.

You're being obtuse about the colors. They don't relate to any order that humans use for colors. Human interface absolutely matters and I definitely expect developers to take humans into consideration. It's something they CHANGED to be WORSE.
