I have a floppy disc with some MacWrite files that I would like to open. Ideas?
How can I open MacWrite Files from a Double sided 3 1/2" Floppy?
Mac mini, macOS 10.13

Hi,
In order to read a 2DD/DSDD Mac-formatted 800K disk, you will need a pre-1998 Macintosh computer with a floppy drive.
The Mac models with a built-in 1.44 MB floppy drive can handle 800K as well. Probably best to look for an approx. 1990-1995 model with a suitable operating system version. A floppy drive for both 800K and 1.44 MB would make it possible to copy files to 1.44 MB HD diskettes for transfers to more modern computers, if necessary. There may be other transfer methods, too. A program capable of opening the MacWrite files would also be required.
Since the 800K Mac disks require a floppy drive with a variable speed, it is not possible to use a PC drive or an external USB drive.
