Account for iPad for a kid

You don't have to set up the Apple ID as part of setting up the iPad. Since you don't specify the age of the child here's several different ways:

If this is an adult child:

or set it up separately:

Note, if this is a younger child you may not want to give the child full ownership of the device because if the child should forget some information it could be very hard to recover some of it. I won't go into details because I don't know if this is even the case.
