My SMS has vanished and only gives me MMS option. Others that don’t have iPhones are sending me texts but I’m not receiving.. any ideas? I’ve turn off both iMessage and MMS individually to see how text would come across. Wouldn’t work at all under MMS only and only other iPhone users could receive my texts when I had iMessage turned on

Looking over your post is sounds like you are not able to send SMS messages. You are able to send iMessages though. Messages are important and we have a couple suggestions that may help.
Since iMessages are working, and SMS messages are not, this would point to an issue with your carrier. iMessages pass through Apple servers, while SMS messages are controlled by your carrier. More information is available here: About iMessage and SMS/MMS - Apple Support
