Put a passcode on telephone numbers

I know this is possible. I have put a passcode for my telephone contacts number. Not to lock the IPhone it’s already set up. I put another contact & the passcode is gone. Can’t remember how

Adding digits to one-touch passcodes I updated to iOS 16.4 on both of my iphone 11. Now when I call in to a conference call that has a passcode, when the phone auto dials my passcode, it duplicates some of the numbers so that the conference call system thinks the code is wrong. For example, if the code is 12345678, it dials 122334556678899. Cannot figure how to fix this. Prior to the upgrade to 16.4, it was working fine. This problem now occurs on both of my iPhone 11s - my personal and my business phones.
