The only place I would recommend buying refurbished is the Apple Mac Refurbished Store. - Refurbished Mac - Apple. They have the same quality as a new factory product, with the same warranty. AppleCare+ is also available.

The second best place is OWC. On the upside they offer to install their RAM/SSD as upgrades. Downside, only a 90-day warranty.

(Note: don't buy a refurbished iMac that still has an HDD. Those are too slow these days unless you actively plan to use an external SSD from day one)
