How Do I Determine How Much Of A CD My Files Will Take When Burned?

When I move my music files into a CD burn window, the window just shows an alias to the file, which I understand. But how can I find out how much of the CD will actually be used when I do the burn? I want to use all of the 700MB or 80 minute capacity. I don't want to go to a 2nd CD because I had too many songs listed to burn. I only want to burn what will fit on one CD.

Or if I'm burning a playlist in iTunes, same question basically - how do I know how much of the CD space the playlist will use?

I have an iMac running Mojave.

you don't move the files into a CD burn window to create an audio CD.

Open the the Music app.

Menu View > Show status bar.

Create a new playlist and add songs to it to the total of ~670MB or 78 minutes.

Right click th playlist name > Burn playlist to disc.

In iTunes, create a playlist and add songs.

The status bar at the bottom of iiTunes will show the size and length of the playlist.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm using iTunes. I don't have the Music app. Will it run on Mojave? And if I am able to get it, is there an easy way to get my hundreds of music files into it?

Does it keep a running count of the time and or disc usage I have in my playlist so I know how much of a CD I would be using?

My question is - is there a way to get iTunes to tell me how much of the disc my playlist would use without me having to manually add up the time or size of the music files? For years I used a free program on Windows XP that would show me instantly the percentage of a disc I was using for the playlist I had and I could add or remove songs to get it very close to 100%. Is there an equivalent in iTunes?

Or, as I alluded to earlier, it is also possible on the iMac to put a blank CD in the drive, open a window for it in Finder, and drag in the songs to create an audio CD. Is there a way to tell how much of the CD will be used for the burn as I add my music?

Wow. That was easy. I was ready to reply "I don't have a status bar" and then I went up to "View" and I saw the option to hide or show it. Apparently the default is to hide it because I would have never hidden it myself. Thanks very much for sticking with me and answering all my questions.
