My iPad could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable

how can I fix this issue and start/activate my iPad?

A few weeks ago my iPad stated that it need it to have the software updated. When I tried to update the software the iPad was turned off and when it come back on it started to show the above statement.

"Your iPad could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try to connect

to iTunes to activate it"
