Updating WhatsApp

When I try to update WhatsApp I get the message "This app cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID". This site indicates that I would need to uninstall the App and reload it with the correct Apple id. I have no idea why it thinks that my id has change. I am very concerned that I will lose access to my messages even if I archive them due to the change in the installation.

Please help - thank you

Updatation issue of whatsapp on iPhone 6 plus. I’m still facing same problem and unable to update my whatsapp messenger. This is problem which is I’m facing:- “WhatsApp messenger cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different apple id” Although I’m using on this apple id for last 4,5 years and i never faced this problem. Kindly resolve my issue so that i can be able to update my whatsapp as it’s going to be expired tonight.
