Can’t listen to Spotify whiteout phone or EarPod case nearby

Why can’t I listen on my apple watch whiteout my phone or earpodcase because when I start running Spotify connects fine with my Apple Watch but when I am further it doesn’t connect anymore why is this?

You'll have to contact Spotify for support with their app.

You need to have either your iPhone, bluetooth speaker or airpods/headphone paired with you watch.

It will not play out of the watch's speaker.
