how to unlock locked passwords on ipad
Is there a way to unlock my saved passwords on iPad? In Settings, Passwords, “passwords are locked” appears. I don’t know how this happened.

So, presumably, you see this - but without the foreground “banner” challenge to authenticate?
The background image of a Padlock with “Passwords are Locked” message will appear until such time as you have authenticated access to your Keychain with either TouchID/FaceID or your iPad Passcode.

Thanks for the reply. No and when I go to settings, passwords, all the sites with saved passwords are gone, replaced with “passwords are locked”. I have re-entered and saved most of them and will request password reset for ones I don’t know. Just wondering how this happened so I don’t do it again.
Are you not being prompted, from the Passwords page, to unlock with TouchID or your Passcode?
That’s exactly what I was seeing. Now, since I’ve entered and saved most of my passwords, I’m seeing that image with the list of password saved sites. Any idea how this happened?
Until authenticated, you can’t see your stored Passwords. If you can see the list of passwords, you must be successfully authenticating.
As such, I’m struggling to understand your problem.
Okay, thanks. I can see them now because I re-entered them all and saved them. Prior to my doing that, they had all disappeared, replaced by the padlock and “Passwords are locked”.
