Smart Card Reader - HID Ominkey

After the upgrade to macOS Big Sur my Mac don't detects the smart card reader (HID Ominkey).

Can someone help me?

Card reader never worked on my MacBook Pro Mid 2015 Hi! The built in SD card reader never worked on my MacBook Pro Mid 2015. As I always had an external reader, I never cared about the problem. But now my external card reader stoped working and I need the other one to work. Does anyone had the same problem? How did you fix it? Apparently the thing was supposed to be ok, but I have had several sd cards (I'm a photographer) and none of it have ever been read by the built in card reader.

Monterey not detecting SD card via external card reader on my 2020 M1 MacBook Pro My card reader worked perfectly fine on all previous OS and is still working on my friend's older MacBook Air. Please look into a software update to solve this problem as it's creating huge inconvenience for my workflow.

Hello calandino,

We're happy to help out. Have you been able to check for any pending updates for you HID Ominkey since updating the macOS? We suggest a normal restart of the Mac as well.

You might need to reach out to the maker if the issue continues after making sure all pending updates are installed.
