Hi All,
Is anyone else experiencing issues with their MBA m1 where iMessage keeps logging out after 2-3 minutes? Also, I am unable to access the preferences tab whenever im signed in. I called apple customer support many times but was futile and they kept ending the call after putting me on hold. Ive done some research and it seems there is an issue after the Big Sur update?
Any thoughts or help in this matter?

My issue was fixed when I erased my Mac completely and reinstalled the OS. Clearly it was a system/software glitch.

Shutdown computer and disconnect all external Drives. Hold the Power Button / Touch ID Button for 10 seconds. Perform this action 3 Times in a row. Restart and Test
I tired this and it still does not work. I also tried reinstalling the OS system twice and no avail.
I now have another issue where my battery status shows "service recommended" since I reinstalled the Mac OS. I live outside the US and don't know how I will be able to have all my issues rectified.

I just want my system normal again..
Will a factory reset solve the problem?
