Text messages from iPhone to iPhone

i sent a txt message last night from my iPhone to another iPhone, the message was sent blue, so iMessage but then it changed to green and on the top it said txt message and the bottom right it said delivered. This morning it’s back to blue. What would make it do that? Go from blue to green back to blue again on its own. And last night the read receipts icon which are usually on disappeared and this morning the icon is back once the message turned back to blue on its own. What does this all mean?

Blue = iMessage

Green = SMS/MMS.

Why?

If the caller or receiver switch iMessage OFF in settings
If the Wi-Fi Internet connection is weak, it auto convert from iMessage to SMS/MMS

Yes I understand why it converts from iMessage to txt message (blue to green) but this time it converted blue to green back to blue. I’ve never seen that before. I would like to know how that’s possible?

If someone blocks you, you will not see any message at all (no blue/green or otherwise)

Yes you can switch iMessage ON/OFF.

FYI: You can only set Read receipt for your own iMessages not someone else messages..

It does happened sometime, once Internet connection is good again.

Nothing to worry about as long as the message went through.

So that is due to the persons internet connection? Nothing to do with the person manipulating the phone, i.e. turning read receipts /iMessage off or blocking and then unblocking?
