I fully unpaired my Apple Watch from my phone using the Watch app to allow me to sell it. But the buyer could not pair the watch as he got an error saying the watch was still used in Find My iPhone. This is not documented in the Apple KB for selling a watch, where unpairing is listed as sufficient . Anyone else seen this issue ? I have now deleted the watch from the Find My app and waiting on buyer to confirm that has resolved it.
No, that’s not it. You can turn off activation lock but still have your device registered in Find My app for an iPhone . It has to be deleted there separately, and that is not in the instructions.
