Did hard clicking disappear???

Hi there. I recently got an iPhone 12. I was messaging a friend and went to go fix a mistake by hard clicking and going back to the word but it wouldn’t work. I use to hard click all the time on my iPhone X. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

And there’s no way to add it back through settings? My friend says hers still works on the iPhone 12.
