how to get the sound back on with my MacBook Pro , there is not an option to select the internal speakers when I am looking under sound, output, in the system preferences any suggestions?

Have you tried restarting your MacBook? Have you tried restarting into Safe Mode (hold down shift key when restarting)? Have you tried resetting the SMC? Have you tried resetting the NVRAM? Barring all other fixes it may be a real hardware failure in that the internal speakers are not being detected because something has failed. As a last resort take it to an authorized repair service or Apple Store for diagnosis. See the following link for information on how to perform these tasks.

Hopefully though it’s just a glitch that will resolve by one using one of these steps.
