Original MP3 lyrics "stuck" in songs on iPod even after changing them with iTunes

Hello, I downloaded some MP3 songs recently and when I put it into iTunes I found out they came pre-loaded with lyrics. Well, I edited them to my liking (fixed some typos, spaced out verses, that kind of thing) and synced them to my iPod Touch 4g, however these changes do not stick on the iPod and it still shows the original lyrics, even though iTunes on my laptop shows that my changes were saved. Is there any way to fix this?

Never mind -- I guess the original lyrics hadn't been written over in the file and the iPod was reading those. I used Mp3tag to remove them and start over and now it's worked.
