In your second screen shot click on cancel .

In Mac system preferences > Apple ID > in overview section do you see error some account services are unavailable , update account settings .

In password and security section , in front of trusted numbers > click on edit , do you see your trusted mobile numbers as verified or subtracted them in that case the verification code will not appear in the device and the account set up will be incomplete and that's the reason when you sign in with Apple ID and password at www.icloud.com the circle rotates infinitely .

If that is so , click on plus sign and add your working mobile number to get verified from system preferences > password and security section Change Password & Security preferences for your Apple ID on Mac - Apple Support

The apple id is not signed in Mac system preferences , click on start using iCloud .

You have to follow the upcoming steps Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

Also your Apple ID account is set up with secondary authentication account , in which three answers for security questions , date of birth , rescue mail address and its password is added .

In your case no rescue mail address and password is added in the account .

The rescue mail address is always added in the Apple ID account , sign in with Apple ID account , if it is not yet added create a web mail account say with gmail service https://support.google.com/mail/answer/56256

Make sure this mail address and password should be totally different than your Apple ID address / password see the section of rescue mail address in this article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT201356 in the same Mac open a new tab ( press command and T keys ) sign in with your gmail account here in the web mail account you will see this code , come to the old tab in which apple id account is already opened , fill up the code in the fields and click on done to save .

At present complete the secondary authentication account credentials , to sign with appleid.apple.com you need three answers for security questions , the rescue mail address and password can be also added from appleid.apple.com ---you can first follow this step then follow the above method as you might be confused , right now don't click on turn on two factor authentication .

By the way in Mac system preferences > internet accounts have you deleted iCloud account .

Do the mail address is active on server or lost the identity , if its with iCloud domain verify it https://iforgot.apple.com/appleid#!&section=appleid

If you have processed an Apple ID to erase from iCloud server permanently How to delete your Apple ID account - Apple Support

Then also it will be not signed in here , what are the scenarios ? if 30 days are not crossed stop the account to be erased with help of apple support senior care advisors ) providing alfa numeric code to them .

Also an email address it could be with any mail services on their web servers will be signed in the location of system preferences when it is active on servers .

The iCloud status is checked with the link https://www.apple.com/in/support/systemstatus/

Hi tygb,

Thanks for your support. When I click on starting using iCloud, it ask for Apple ID and password. After enter, Terms and Conditions will come and after accept it following message is coming.

In web, after I logged in, the circle rotates infinitely. When I go to settings option, it likes follows,

My Internet Accounts section in System preferences as follows,

I have added the rescue Email address also. Still unable to login iCloud. Do I need to configure two step verification as well? I think it's not a must.

Thanks And Regards,

Chamith.

First set up the Apple ID account correctly , you have to sign in with credentials in a right manner , in between these steps you must never try to erase the account from server , once the action is done it will start erasing the data synced and all account credentials from the server if 30 days are crossed apple support can't help .

If you do so even you erase the hard drive and reinstall Mac OS the Apple ID signing in the account will be difficult .

See the article What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

You are not selling Mac to some one , but signing out the account , your apple id account will be partially unstable , if the account is erased from the server , the same Apple ID address can never be used in the future .

Once you set up Mac Set up your MacBook Pro - Apple Support

  • Sign in with your Apple ID: Your Apple ID consists of an email address and a password. It’s the account you use for everything you do with Apple—including using the App Store, Apple TV app, Apple Book Store, iCloud, Messages, and more. Sign in with the same Apple ID to use any Apple service, on any device—whether it’s your computer, iOS device, iPadOS device, or Apple Watch. It’s best to have your own Apple ID and not share it. If you don’t already have an Apple ID, you can create one during setup (it’s free). See Apple Account on Mac.

See the above para the Apple ID and password is required and it should be active on the server .
