Since the latest upgrade to OS X 11.2.2 I am not able to attach emails to Calendar events by dragging. When I drag an email to the attachments field in a Calendar event I don't get the (blue and clickable) link that says "Show in mail", but simply a link (again, blue and clickable) with the text in the Subject field, that brings me to Safari when I click on it (and then tells me that Safari couldn't find the url).

It seems that dragging an email to a Calendar event puts a link to the url field and not to the attachment field.

What do I have to do in order to get email to link as an attachment to events, instead of as an url?

Hello Paulo,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you would like to attach an email to a calendar event but the linked attachment does not take you back to the email.

This is not currently a feature of Big Sur. If you'd like you can save an email attachment and then add that file to an event using the steps from Add notes, a URL, or files to events in Calendar on Mac.

If you have feedback or suggestions about this and other macOS features you can send those to Apple from Product Feedback.

Have a great day!
