I had to reset my iphone xr to factory settings due to problems. My problem is icloud keeps showing up under my sons information. The iphone xr never belonged to my son and I was the one who purchased the phone and pays the carrier. How do I change the icloud information to my apple id so I can continue the download from my icloud. I would call Apple this is the only phone I have to make calls.
What do you mean that your information is showing up under your son’s? When you go to settings, is it your name and Apple ID that shows at the top of the page? If not, that information needs to be logged out and your information logged in.
iCloud is linked to an Apple ID.
Log in to your device with your Apple ID and if need be change the Apple ID password, then there won't be anyone else accessing the iCloud.

In desperation I tried everything. The last thing I tried was to log into my Apple Account on my MacBook Pro. After the login everything fell into place and worked. I will remember this for the next new phone and if I should restore to factory settings. Thank you all for your kindness and help.
