Hi there, everett86, we can help.

You mentioned that your iPhone keeps asking to confirm your Apple ID and password, but you don't see a spot to put in your Apple ID. You'll want to make sure that you're signed in to the iPhone in settings with the Apple ID account you want to use, and its important to remember you really don't want to be switching between Apple IDs as a regular practice, as they can get locked after so many sign ins.

If you are signed in with the correct Apple ID in Settings > [Your Name] just enter in the password when prompted. You could be seeing the alert if you've recently changed your password, or if you're typing it in incorrectly. Once the password is correctly entered, it shouldn't ask you again.

Now, if you go to Settings, and the name and account listed there are not yours, that means someone else is still signed in to your device. You can check out the steps in What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to remove the other account and start fresh with your own.

Take care!
