Boot Up Time increased after installing Big Sur on my Intel Macbook Air (Early 2015)

Is anyone else facing the problem? Any fixes or support from Apple?

It's very disappointing to see that the feature I used to boast for Mac no longer exists.

Apple team should look into this.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

Hey there! Hope this helps.

This can be due to a few causes, my first guess would be software you have launching upon login. Possibly software that conflicts with the current OS and needs to be updated, etc. Is this the case?:

Open items automatically when you log in on Mac

Otherwise, starting in Safe Mode would be a good test:

Hope that sheds some light on a possible cause/solution.

I cleanly upgraded from Mojave to Big Sur and it boots faster and is somewhat snappier and I actually like it (I made a small bootable external Mojave volume and El Capitan VM for the few old 32-bit apps I still occasionally use).

Try the troubleshooting voodoo: log out from iCloud, App Store, iTunes/Music etc. Reset SMC & PRAM, safe-boot, recovery-boot and check Disk First Aid. Then see if it is faster and restore the settings one by one.
