How to connect 2 mac displays?

Hey

I have 5k iMac Mid 2017 and Macbook pro 13'' 2018.

I want to connect my iMac screen to the MacBook and let the MacBook act as a secondary screen. Is that even possible?

No. Target Display Mode is not supported on Macs after 2014. Even then you could not use a Mac laptop as a secondary screen.
