Loud buzzing when opening a call

There is a loud deafening helicopter or motorcycle like buzzing that occurs randomly in areas (doesn’t always happen when tested in the same location again). I don’t hear anything but the person on the other line hears it. I recently found out how it sounded after sending a message to my girlfriend on whatsapp and then played it back. She heard the same loud noise that I heard upon playback. Only had this iPhone 12 Pro for one month. Happened twice in car using Bluetooth and once in gym using just my AirPods. Can anyone who had a similar issue please help in solving this? Thanks.

Hello asjabbar,

We understand that you are having some unexpected audio behavior on your iPhone 12 in specific scenarios. We're happy to assist.

As both of the situations described appear to occur while using a Bluetooth connection, our first recommendation is to check for and attempt to isolate possible sources of Bluetooth interference. Check out our site Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference for possible causes of interference and test to see if removing or eliminating those corrects this behavior. Also verify that these instances are only happening when using a Bluetooth device to further isolate the behavior.

We hope this helps.
