Audio input to a 2020 iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (4th generation) with USB-C port

I am planning to use the live-streaming Switcher Studio app with an audio input from a sound mixer using an xlr cable and a suitable adapter.

Does my 2020 iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (4th generation) support audio input through the USB-C port?

If yes, is there a list of approved products like that can facilitate this like IK Multimedia’s I-Rig products?

If no, what options do I have to facilitate sound input to the software from an external source?

Hi sloopjohnbutler,

We understand you have some questions about your iPad Pro and compatible audio devices. Your iPad Pro's USB-C port can be used to connect with audio interfaces. See the "Connect to other devices" section of the following page: Charge and connect with the USB-C port on iPad Pro

The best way to ensure the device you intend to use is compatible, is to check the system requirements for that device, to ensure it lists iPadOS. You can learn more about choosing accessories made for your iPad, here: About iPhone, iPad, and iPod accessories

Cheers!
