My iMac Pro will not fire up. The last time I had it on, there was a notice that a new upgrade will be installed over night. It all happened so fast as I was closing down and I wasn’t able to catch the full notice but I think it included iMac os something? Help!

Shutdown via Power Button and disconnect all external drives. Restart and Immediately hold - Shift - Key. It will do a repair Disk, clear cache files and only load Apple Software and Fonts. It is going to load slowly - Normal. If all goes to plan - this may allow the update to finish installing and finally reboot normal.

Unplug for 10 minutes and try again in Safe mode
My iMac Pro is already shut down and I can get it to start up after closing down yesterday. It has been plugged in all night and should fire up but will not. I can get the cap light to come on but that is it.
Correction. I can not get it to start up.
Could you please tell me what you mean by safe mode.
