Apple Watch Lost in Transit

I ordered Apple Watch is for a promotion, but they never arrived. I called and they said they were lost in transit filed a claim and they will be refunding my money. Is there a way I can make sure no one uses it? I don’t like that whoever stole it can now use it without paying for it like I did.
