Bin keeps filling up with thousands of copies of a folder

I have a problem, and it has lasted through multiple OS updates and still no solution. My bin randomly keeps filling up with thousands of copies of a font folder I deleted a long time ago. It doesn't take up space but it makes me crazy annoyed and I'd really like it fixed. Does anyone have a similar problem?

Hello, ananana_14!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have an issue with the trash bin refilling with files you deleted in the past. First, we recommend taking a look at this article with steps to follow for How to use safe mode on your Mac. This will perform checks and stop certain software from starting up automatically. Once you are in safe mode, empty the trash bin and restart the Mac normally and see if the files come back again.

We also recommend checking out this article If you can't empty the Trash on your Mac.

Also, if these are files you have synced to iCloud, you may need to check the Recently Deleted folder to be sure they are deleted there as well. Permanently remove deleted files on iCloud.com

Keep us updated on the results and have a wonderful day!
