New to Keynote, I tried using it to create a collage of 17 photos on a frame. I guess I erred by opening a Master slide and dragging the photos, one by one, to the frame. I think I saved it as a new Master, but cannot seem to use or print it. Help!

Master Slides are used to display the same content on every slide, so not what you want to do.
To create a collage, drag the required images on to a slide, then position and size each one.
Use the Format /Inspector to change colour and add frames, hastily made example shown below:

As you'r having problems with your images, I would start afresh.
Make sure you print Slides and use the page margins & slide background options:
Thanks! Any way to print the new master I seem to have created, such as by pretending somehow to use the new master, or is starting over the best solution? I see the new master, but only the blank original appears when I go to print it.
