Changing email address on apple ID

Have an email associated with my apple ID, that I can't access any longer. Discontinued my cable service and lost that email. Neglected to change the email on Apple ID before I lost access.

Whats the best solution?

Keeping Apple Id and changing email.
Creating new apple ID, but transferring all data

Just concerned about losing contacts, photos and text messages

Option 1 is best. If you create/use a new Apple ID, you will lose access to some of your data and the purchases made with your existing Apple ID.
