Downloading Big Sur 11.2.2

I've tried to download macOS Big Sur 11.2.2 several times. I am currently trying again, with approximately 1 hour remaining. For some reason, it appears I have to start from scratch each time it fails.

I moved to Apple from Microsoft with the hope that the general experience would be smoother and have less issues, but getting continuous notifications that an update is available only to have it continuously fail (along with other lesser annoyances) is disappointing. The idea that this is taking about 2-hours to download is also very frustrating; it doesn't feel like an improvement over Microsoft.

Any advice? I tried to modify my battery settings in case that was interfering with the download. I kind of get the impression that because I walked away from the computer, this may have caused the download/installation to fail. Now I guess I'm going to sit here for 2-hours babysitting the update. If it fails again I'll be pretty ******.
