Apple Watch Activity Bug?

Anyone else have this problem? The other day I closed all my rings, my watch even did the fun graphic for closing them. I wore it probably for another hour before putting on charger for the night.

the next day I looked at my activity app on my phone and it was about 20 move points less than goal and no longer was closed.

how could this happen and is there a way to get the points back?

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

As far as editing your move ring, you can try this:

To manually add a workout (and its data):

  1. In the Health App on the iPhone, tap on the Health Data tab at the bottom
  2. Then tap Activity and scroll down to Workouts and tap on it
  3. In the the top right hand corner of the screen it says add data (or simply +)
  4. Tap on that and you can enter a new workout and its data
  5. When you are finished tap on add at the top right of the screen.

Be aware though that this only effects your 3 rings on the day in question.
