Is the MacBook Air ideal for me?
Hi there I was looking to know if the air book Mac would be ideal for me all I really need is for a trustworthy laptop to back up my phone & then for family use

It depends on what you really need it for.
Seems like your going to have a few people using it, so you better choose large storage capacity.
The new M1 MacBook Air is an amazing machine, very capable and also completely silent. Even hard work has been done on it and testers got very impressed with results.
Even knowing it has really good performance, don't think of it as a machine for professional audio/video editing. Think of it more as a day-to-day machine for study, internet browsing, some light photo work and stuff like that.
Overall, great machine that'll serve you very well. Apple has done a great job with this M1 chips.
