Alarm clocks randomly not working

I have had issues for years intermittently with alarm clocks not working on multiple iPhones. I have done multiple updates over the years, and I have also fully re-installed iOS. This issue started about 2 years ago on a iPhone 7 Plus and now showing the issue on an iPhone 11 and I never restored from a backup either on my iPhone 11 it was set up as new but I did sign in with the same Apple ID on my iPhone 11 that I was using on my iPhone 7 Plus. Ive thought about contacting Apple but I know they can not do anything besides escalate the case up to engineering. Just wondering if anybody else has came across this behavior.

Extra details:

  • I have disabled Screen-time restrictions
  • I never use dnd or any other kind of restrictions

Hey there Alexander,

We'd like to help get your alarms working all the time, and not just some of the time.

It sounds like you've done some great troubleshooting since this issue began on your older iPhone and continued with your new one.

While you may need to contact Apple Support regarding this as you mentioned in your post, we have a few things to rule out with you:

  1. You mentioned keeping your iPhone up to date as new versions released, but the latest version is 14.4.1. This version released on March 8th. You can verify the version number installed within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. If the issue remains afterwards, check out the steps under 'Get help with alarms' here: How to set and manage alarms on your iPhone

Cheers.
