iPhone 8 dead speakers/vibration/microphone

Ive seen other people have the same issue in the past few days the speaker and vibration aren't working on my iPhone 8 it all started when my phone randomly crashed and i lost speakers, microphone and the volume buttons don’t work because they don't see phone speakers as a output option while i have my AirPods connected but if i get regular headphones that don't have a microphone it defaults to the phone microphone witch works fine so i know its not a hardware issue what do i do now??

i still have the issue

my phone is up to date

ive let the battery completely die

I completely erased my phone and restarted it

and still no change

maybe an iOS14 bug or something?

any emails with suggestions or solutions welcome

Hi AbrahamQ_,

We'd like to confirm we are on the same page.

To clarify your iPhone shut down unexpectedly and since then the speakers, microphone and vibration motor aren't responding? However if you plug in a pair of headphones without a microphone, you're still able to be heard using the iPhone's microphone, is that correct?

Additionally, when stating you erased your iPhone, was it via iTunes using a computer or on the iPhone itself under Settings > General > Reset? Was the iPhone set back up as new after erasing it or restored from a backup?

If you restored a backup to your iPhone after resetting it, please follow these steps to restore the iPhone to the factory settings. By resetting the phone to the factory settings, this allows us to isolate the source of the issue further. You'll want to be sure to backup your iPhone before you restore it to the factory settings. While you won't be restoring the backup at this time, having a current backup provides you with a current copy of your personal data. This article will show you the different ways you can create a backup: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

For step by step instructions on how to reset your iPhone to the factory settings, follow this article: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Cheers!

Yes i backed up the phone and erased the phone completely and set it up as a completely new device with a new email and everything and still no response from anything i reset the phone again but this time i booted from a backup i made and attempted different things like face time calls on apples default app or calling from and to the phone unplugging and plugging in headphones forgetting Bluetooth devices but now i have learned that an instagram face time call seems to do the trick to force the phone speakers to be seen as a device to play media and the microphone to be used as an input (in this case the call on instagram) not sure why it works but this is 100% a apple software issue not hardware because currently the speakers are working sadly i cant set it as solved because its only a back door to force the speakers not a real solution apple has to do that one

so for people looking at this and have a similar issue try to get someone to call you from an instagram call thats what fixed mine
