scroll film strip with locked playhead

Is there a way to have the filmstrip scroll past the play-head?

That is, when I click Play - the little arrow - the filmstrip starts moving left and the playhead stays starionary.

At the moment the playhead moves and the film strip stays where it is.

Preview of Clip Won't advance as playhead is moved. This is infuriating!! I am trying to move the playhead about a clip in order to select split points but the preview movie is not playing or advancing as I slide the playhead. The only way of getting an accurate split point is to keep clicking on parts of the clip and hoping it's close! Why would this suddenly stop? No other programs running. A quit and re-start solves the problem for about 2 short splits, then the problem starts again. Any help appreciated.

Vertical line in the center Hello. I wanted to know if there is a way to keep the vertical line that appears in the timeline always in the center, so that I don't always have to scroll manually on the timeline to get to the right second of playback. I hope I was clear. Thank you!

Thanks, I’ll have a look. It’s really time consuming when looking for places to mark for a time code reference.
