Updating to macOS Big Sur

I am currently running OS 10.13.6 on a MacBook Pro (12-inch, 2017) with a 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i5 Processor. I would like to update to Big Sur, but cannot find out how to do that. Do I have to upgrade to Mojave first, and then to Catalina and then to Big Sur? If so, how do I do that? If not, how do I get to update to Big Sur?

You can go directly to Big Sur, but keep in mind:

Always backup your data before you install anything.
Make sure you have at least 35 GB of contiguous free space to install.
Make sure all your applications are 64 bit compatible.
