IMovie framerate problem

Soo i just got my new IPhone 12 Pro and i filmed some Skateclips and i wanted to edit them, my camera settings is: 1080P and 60 FPS. I edited the Video and exported it at 60 FPS but the Slowmotion looked very jumpy. Then i tried to export it at 30FPS, the Slowmotion looked perfect but the Video was to jumpy.

Then i tried with my old Phone (IPhone 6+) and the Slowmotion and the Video looked Perfect, it wasn't jumpy and the Slowmotion looked Smooth.

I just need help how i can fix this with my new IPhone 12

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

Hello Smokio,

It looks like you are trying to export your edited iMovie.

Be sure that the iPhone is up to date. Just as a reminder, here are the different ways available to update iOS: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Be sure to follow the instructions on how to make a backup of your data before updating.

You can find information on how to record, edit, and export using iMovie here: iMovie User Guide for iPhone - Apple Support

Cheers!

Hello Jeff

My IPhone is up to date. But i still got the framerate issue.

And i know how to use IMovie. Its just that my Iphone 6+ doesn't have this issue, its recording smooth and the Slowmotion is smooth, but on my IPhone 12 Pro the video is just jumpy but the Slowmotion is good. So the issue got to be the IPhone 12 Pro.

Hello Smokio,

If you use another app to output a movie, do you have the same issue? Testing this would help isolate if the issue is hardware or software related.

You may also want to remove the iMovie app, restart the iPhone, and then reinstall the app. This can help reset connections and settings that may be causing an issue.

Cheers.
