What happened to Shazam linking to iTunes to purchase ? The new app has the option in settings but it is always blocked.

The direct link from Shazam to 'Buy on iTunes" has been discontinued. The official document was updated on March 11 to remove the reference to "Buy on iTunes." See new version here:

However, once Shazam has identified the song, you can go into the iTunes Store (or another download store of your choice, such as Amazon Digital Music) and buy the song.

So I’ve found that I can still go I to iTunes and search for it, and then buy it.

the cynic in me is thinking this is a subtle and almost predatory way to funnel people towards Apple Music. (The intentional choice to grey out the button so it doesn’t work and you’re encouraged to go to Apple Music instead).

the tech person in me hopes this is just an issue that’s occurred because of some recent update or compatibility issue.
