Mac not letting me attach files in Chrome

I have always been able to attach files in Chrome on my Mac - I do it all the time, right up until this morning....

Suddenly, when I try to attach, the drop-down files thing starts to come down to select a file, and then it disappears.

Help?

iMac Mid 2011 OS - High Sierra won't allow me to open certain links/attachments. OK on all other devices. I cannot open an attachment from paperlesspost on my iMac. Also, I cannot open a link I was sent to e-sign a document. Other similar examples where i just see a spinning circle after entering correct username and PW credentials. I ONLY have this problem on the iMac. Everything works as it should on my MacBook pro, iPhone and iPad. It doesn't matter what browser I use... the problem remains. So confused as to why this is happening. Please assist if you can. Thanks

Some files don't open when double-clicking them in Finder Has anyone encountered this issue in macOS Ventura 13.3 on a MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021)? Double-clicking a file in Finder opens the application but not the actual file (for example, Word(.docx)-files in "Downloads" or "Desktop" will make the Word-application "bounce", but the file is never actually opened) Some files however do open, but the placement of the file doesn't seem to matter (the issue occurs for both "Downloads" and "Desktop", but also works for some documents in both locations) Same issue for some .pdf-files which should be opened in Preview.app Previews of files work in Finder You can "get around" the issue by going to File > Open from within the app, this always works

We understand that you're having trouble when using Chrome on Mac. Is this on a specific website, like iCloud, or have you noticed this on multiple? If this is occurring across multiple sites, then we would recommend that you ensure Chrome is updated for your current macOS version.
