Hi everyone!
The font bar in my mail app is shifted to the far right, out of the screen, make it impossible to use it (see screenshot). I saw similar questions about a year ago, but no solution.
Any ideas?

I somehow managed to solve the problem. After just reading various forum threads, I experimented with the plist file in the library (somewhat risky, I know) and managed to get it done. Looks right again now. Thanks for helping!!

Already tried – unfortunately, it doesn't help.
I found the plist that controls the viewing of the Text Formatting Tool Bar and the entry to show or hide it, but I'm not finding anything on the position of the toolbar.
The next thing I would try is to quit everything, change your screen resolution via System Preferences > Displays > Display (tab) > Scaled then try Mail again to see if that forces a change in the Compose window formatting.
Can you test the Mail Text Formatting Toolbar with a test user?
That would tell us if it's a system wide issue (like with Mail itself) or something with your user account (like preferences).

This may be a long shot, but does hiding then showing the Text Formatting Tool Bar with the Format button help?

Hi! Thanks for looking this up and trying to help! Doesn't make any difference to adjust scaling...
It works with a different user (but it doesn't make a difference which Mail account I use). Thanks, that might help solving the problem. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

So did you remove the com.apple.mail.plist and let it rebuild?

Exactly. I just deleted it and opened Mail again. Favorites were gone, otherwise everything was right and the issue fixed. Thanks again for your help, take care!
