My mail font bar is waaaayy over to the right in the email creation box.
I seem unable to reset it or move it to the centre where I can use it functionally.
Can someone assist me in getting it back to where I can use it?
Mail Version 13.4 (3608.80.23.2.2)
MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15
Full Screen didn't resolve.
Accidentally fixed it. It seems it had something to do with removing/deleting the "Flexible Space" and "Space" placeholders that were silently invisible in the toolbar.
Once I dragged and dropped them out to delete them, *poof*, the font toolbar recentered itself.

I don't know what is causing both things, but I think they may be related.
Weird stuff can sometimes be fixed by booting into Safe Mode.
You can check to see if it happens while in Safe Mode, then restart normally.
Safe Mode will clear some system caches which may solve the problem.
If it doesn't occur in Safe Mode, but does in normal mode, then it is something installed causing the problem.
No addons for mac mail. Nothing that appears conflicted or related.
Tried the customize toolbar menu option without success. Tried dragging it over without success.
Tried all the hide/shows in the view. No avail.
I was initially thinking the window is too wide, but the add contact button is where it should be.
Do you have any Mail add-ons or something that alters Mail installed? I don't have a title bar that reads "New Message" so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.
No joy. Safe mode did not resolve it.
Even though I bring up the toolbar menu, I can not seem to 'park it' where it needs to be.
Out of curiosity, what happens in Full Screen mode. I can't stand it, but just wonder if it will rearrange the layout.
Good sleuthing on your part. It seemed like a layout issue, but I didn't think to consider the items in the toolbar.
