reuse a time capsule

Recently bought a new router to replace an older (2014) Airport Time Capsule (ATC). After a month of frustration with the new router, I've decided to ditch the new router and go back to using the Airport Time Capsule (at least temporarily). I'm just not sure of the procedure for doing this. Do I reset the Time Capsule to factory setting and set up a fresh new netowrk? Or do I hook up the ATC and use the old settings (which, presumably the ATC has retained)?

My devices are: MB Air, iPad, iPhones (XR & 7) and Apple TV. MB Air is running Catalina (10.15.7), iPhones and iPad are running 14.4.

Thanks for any advice anyone can give me.

If you have not done anything to change the ATC, then in theory you should be able to use the same settings that are already programmed into the ATC to reconnect it to the network.

Worst case, if things are more complicated than expected, you can perform a Factory Default Reset or a Hard Reset on the ATC and then set it up again.

You did not mention the type of modem that you are using now, but it might be necessary to power off the modem for a few minutes and then power it up again if the ATC is not able to connect to the Internet.
