When I print (xerox phaser 3160N using OS 11.2.3) and want to printed pp1-2 out of 5 (say), it goes into spinning beachball. The only way out is to force quit mail. Some days I am doing this multiple times. Software up-to-date. Printing all is no problem and I don't have this problem in other applications.
